"Truth be told, I paint because it provides mental relief and allows me to do something productive with my free time.  It also provides me with something to do that I have complete control over and that exemplifies who I am.  I'm not saying I paint all the time.  It’s just that when I do paint, I am connected to my canvases and committed to the process of painting in a highly personal and distinctive way."

"Painting is a positive activity that energizes my core.  The colors I choose, the shapes I create, the textures I craft, are part of my DNA and completely spontaneous.  I am rather unromantic about being an artist and making art.  It is just something I love to do and something I feel I am good at.  It also lets me document that I was here and doing something creative and constructive while I was alive on planet Earth."

"If my paintings/illusions are to be interpreted for what they really are, they should be looked at as milestones, of sort, that document my creative existence and progress, nothing more. I paint because I enjoy it and feel it represents the better part of who I am.  Deeper meaning and insight serves you, the viewer, more than it does me, the artist, but it is this artist's hope that you get more of both when looking at my work .”
